I HIGHLY recommend Park Avenue Auto Service, Inc. in Cranston, RI. Five out of five stars Hands Down!!! I had never used them before, but I asked a very knowledgeable friend where he would go to get a broken exhaust system pipe assembly repaired. My car sounded like a roving motorcycle gang, and I knew that it was only a matter of time before I would be pulled over. My friend recommended Park Avenue Auto Service. He was right. It was mid-afternoon when I walked in, and their shop was extremely busy. They suggested that I leave the car overnight and they would get to it as soon as possible. So I agreed to do so. However, three hours later they called me back and said that, the repair had been completed, and I could pick up the car anytime. They informed me that since it was a relatively simple repair, they were able to get to it before the end of the work day. So I got the car back quickly, well ahead of schedule, and for LESS than the estimate that they provided. I would not hesitate to use them again, and heartily recommend them to anyone looking for good quality service and professionalism at a very competitive price.

I had taken my car elsewhere, and it didn’t pass inspection. I needed new brakes, and new tires. Not only did Park Ave. Auto give me the best price for what needed to be done, but they were also extremely kind, communicative, and efficient. They squeezed me into the schedule, and my car was still ready one day later! While installing the brakes, they discovered one of the calipers had some major issues, too, so they replaced it. The increase in the final invoice was incredibly reasonable, and I appreciated that they didn’t cut corners on safety, but also didn’t try to upsell me on anything that wasn’t necessary. I wish I had gone to them for the inspection, originally! Highly recommend.

Can say that I’m greatly disappointed in what seemed to be a reputable shop. I arranged for an appointment weeks in advance, asking the mechanics to look at the rust underneath my car. This was one of four services requested in advance (oil, brake fluid, and serpentine belt). The car was dropped off the night before. The next day, I was informed none of the services would be performed due to the incapability of putting the car on their lifts; claiming that the lift would go through the car (purely due to weathered rust damage). They kept my car until the late afternoon without communication, and performed none of the original services when I was finally able to pick it up. I was met with rude and blunt responses when I probed for specifics. I ended up taking my car to two other shops following this encounter to check the rust. One was a Honda dealership, and the other a personal mechanic. Both had the courtesy of taking me under the car (being able to put it up on their lifts) showing me the rust, and telling me that the car was still solid, and drivable for several years. Park Ave Auto Service have been my go-to mechanics for many years. They’ve also renovated earned my trust early on by diagnosing a potentially costly repair as just a long-overdue oil change. In fact, the manager, Dan, is the reason I still have my 2012 car. He said it was in great shape in spite of the 180k miles on it and helps me prioritize what needs to be fixed vs. what would be nice to fix. That’s a really big deal to me! Also, the shop itself is pleasant and clean inside the waiting area. All of the guys are super nice and professional. If I had a teenage daughter, I’d send her there because I know the guys would all be respectful with her. I’ve recommended Park Ave to anyone who asked me, and I continue to recommend them. They’re reliable, professional, knowledgeable, and their prices are very competitive.

We have been looking for a while for an "honest" automobile garage. It seems that everyone is out to get you. We finally, with thanks be to God, found this establishment. They are family owned which I love. They know what they are doing and charge you a very responsible price for work done. They also stated that there was a nest in my carburetor! Cleaned it, put in a new air filter. You can't be more honest than this. Their garage had a lot of cars there to be fixed. Now we know why. If your looking for a garage to take your car, this is the one. Why would you go anywhere else?
